  • Electric
  • A red and white sphere. It has eyes, and is famous for it's Self destruct attack.
  • Evolves into Electrode at level 30.
  • It's found in the Power Plant and near Rock Tunnel.
  • Good against bird and water types, but it's electric attacks don't really effect ground, rock, plant, and electric pokémon.

  • Cubone grows taller and earns the nick name "Bone Keeper" after evoulution.

  • Fighting
  • It's legs can stretch to amazing lengths so that it can run amazingly fast to it's destination.

  • Choose it at the Fighting Dojo gym.
  • Good against ice, rock, and normal types, but weak against poison, flying, psychic, and bug pokémon.

    •#107 Hitmonchan

  • Fighting
  • It uses it's hands in battle, so that it can use moves like thunder punch, fire punch, and ice punch!

  • Choose it at the Fighting Dojo gym.
  • With moves like fire punch, electric punch, and so on, Hitmonchan may not have a weakness, but before it learns moves like that, here are some pokémon elements to battle Hitmonchan against..Good against ice, rock, and normal types, but weak against poison, flying, psychic, and bug pokémon.

  • It's tongue is supposed to be twice as long as it's body. Lickitung has stripes on it's stomach, knee, and a spot on the bottom of it's hands.

  • Poison
  • A purple pokémon that uses attacks like smog and sludge attack.
  • Evolves into Weezing at level 35.
  • Catch it in Cinnabar Island.
  • Vulnerable to poison, ground, rock, and ghost types, but won't lose a match to a grass or bug pokémon.

  • Two Koffings fuse together to become a Weezing.

  • Catch it in Cinnabar island.
  • Vulnerable to poison, ground, rock, and ghost types, but won't lose a match to a grass or bug pokémon.

    •#111 Rhyhorn

  • Rock and ground
  • A rhinoceros with armor-like plates all over it.
  • Evolves into Rhydon at level 42.
  • Catch it in Fuschia City.
  • Vulnerable to water, grass, and fighting types. But it can easily defeat a fire, electric, poison, rock, ice, or flying type!

  • Rhyhorn begins to stand up, and learns moves like horn drill and take down.

  • Normal
  • A pink pokémon that always brings happiness to the trainers that capture it.

  • Capture it in Fuschia City and in the Unknown Dungeon.
  • Vulnerable to rock attacks.

    •#114 Tangela

  • Grass
  • This pokémon looks like a bunch of tangled vines walking.
  • NONE
  • Capture it in the tall grass south of Pallet town!
  • Good against water, ground, rock, but bad against poison, flying, bug, fire, and dragon types.

    •#115 Kanagaskhan

  • Normal
  • A kangaroo pokémon with scales all over it, and a pouch which holds a baby Kangaskhan!
  • NONE
  • Capture it in Fuschia City!
  • Vulnerable to rock attacks.

    •#116 Horsea

  • Water
  • A blue sea horse. Be careful.. Horsea is a very fragile pokémon.
  • Evolves at level 32.
  • Capture it in the Sea Foam islands!
  • Good when battling a fire, bug, rock, or ground pokémon! But it's very vulnerable to electric, plant, dragon, and and water attacks.

    •#117 Seadra

  • Water
  • Horsea grows spikes, and tough scales to protect it.
  • NONE
  • Capture it in the Unknown Dungeon and in Sea Foam islands!
  • Good when battling a fire, bug, rock, or ground pokémon! But it's very vulnerable to electric, plant, dragon, and and water attacks.

    •#118 Goldeen

  • Water
  • This pokémon looks like a gold fish with a horn on it's head. It has cyan blue eyes.
  • Evolves into Seaking at level 33.
  • Capture it around Cinnabar island!
  • Good when battling a fire, rock, or ground pokémon! But it's very vulnerable to electric, plant, dragon, and and water attacks.

  • Water
  • Goldeen grows black spots, and grows larger.
  • NONE
  • Capture it in Pokémon League, and in the Unknown Dungeon.
  • Good when battling a fire, rock, or ground pokémon! But it's very vulnerable to electric, plant, dragon, and and water attacks.

    •#120 Staryu

  • Water
  • A star-shaped pokémon. If has a red jewel in the center of the star. It moves around by using it's psychic powers. But it doesn't become a psychic type until it evolves!
  • Evolves into Starmie with a water stone.
  • Capture it in Sea Foam islands.
  • Good when battling a fire, rock, or ground pokémon! But it's very vulnerable to electric, plant, dragon, and and water attacks.

    •#121 Starmie

  • Water and psychic
  • A purple star-shaped pokémon with a gem that is said to glow with all the colors of the rainbow!

  • Evolve a Staryu to capture this one.
  • Good when battling a fighting, fire, rock, or ground pokémon! But it's very vulnerable to electric, psychic, plant, dragon, and and water attacks.

    •#122 Mr. Mime

  • Psychic
  • A mime pokémon that is a good addition to a team of pokémon! When you get it, it knows "Barrier" and Confusion attack!
  • NONE
  • At the end of Diglett's Cave, walk until you find a house. Inside is someone who will trade their Mr. Mime for an Abra!
  • Vulnerable to psychic types, but will defeat a fighting or poison type in battle easily!

    •#123 Scyther

  • Bug and flying
  • Looks similiar to a praying mantis.
  • NONE
  • Earn it at Celadon city or capture it at Fuschia city.
  • Good against psychic, bug, and grass types, but vulnerable to ghost, fire, electric, and rock types.

    •#124 Jynx

  • Ice and psychic
  • A human shaped pokémon.
  • NONE
  • Trade a Poliwhirl for a Jynx at Cerulean City.
  • Good against fighitng, grass, ground, poison, flying, rock, but weak against fire, water, ice, and psychic types.

    •#125 Electabuzz

  • Electric
  • A strong, tiger-like pokémon.
  • NONE
  • Capture it in the Power Plant(Need red version to capture Electabuzz.)
  • Good against water, flying, but bad against electric, dragon and grass types.

    •#126 Magmar

  • Fire
  • A pokémon made out of flames. It has a duck bill on it's face and spikes on it's back.
  • NONE
  • Capture it in Cinnabar Island(You need Blue Version to capture Magamar!)
  • Good against plant, ice, and bug types, but avoid battling with it when your opponet is using a water, rock, dragon, or another fire type!

    •#127 Pinsir

  • Bug
  • Looks like a stag beetle. It has powerful attacks like Vice Grip, Seismic Toss, and Guillotine!!
  • NONE
  • Earn it in Celadon City, or capture it in Fuschia City!(Need blue version to capture this one!)
  • Good against plant, psychic, but vulnerable to fire, birds, fighting, and ghost types!

    •#128 Tauros

  • Normal
  • Looks like a bull with three tails. Tauros is very hard to find!
  • NONE
  • Capture it in Fuschia City!
  • Vulnerable to rock types.

    •#129 Magicarp

  • Water
  • A fish pokémon. When you capture it in Vermillion city, all it knows is the attack "Splash.." And it doesn't effect it's opponet. But try to make it grow to level 20 by placing it on the top of your list, then, when a trainer comes to battle you, switch to another pokémon!
  • Evolves into Gyarados at level 20.
  • Capture it everywhere with an "Old Rod."
  • Fire attacks, ground attacks, and rock attacks won't really effect a well trained Magicarp. But Magicarp is always vulnerable to grass, water, electric, and dragon types.

    •#130 Gyarados

  • Water and flying
  • Looks like a dragon! Training a Magicarp pays off when it evolves!
  • NONE
  • You must evolve a Margicarp to capture it.
  • Good against dragon, fire, ground, fighting, bug, grass, but weak electric, water, and other dragon types.

    •#131 Lapras

  • Water and ice
  • Lapras looks like a large sea turtle and is really beautiful.
  • NONE
  • Someone in Saffron City gives you Lapras before you defeat Giovianni at Silph Co.
  • Good against fighting, ground, rock, and fire types. Bad against electric pokémon.

    •#132 Ditto

  • Normal
  • Ditto is a good pokémon to have in battle! All it learns is Transform, but that attack is really good!
  • NONE
  • Catch it at Pokémon League, in the Unknown Dungeon, and near Fuschia City.
  • Good against a lot of types after it transforms! But if a rock pokémon attacks before it does, Ditto might faint.

    •#133 Eevee

  • Normal
  • Looks kind of like a little dog. Eevee's name might come from the word "evoulution."
  • Evolves into Vaporeon with a Water Stone, Jolteon with a Thunder Stone, or Flareon with a Fire stone.
  • Someone in Celadon city gives you Eevee.
  • Bad against rock types..

    •#134 Vaporeon

  • Water
  • Some think that Vaporeon is a mermaid because of it's tail. Vaporeon has three fins, on the top of it's head, and the other two on each side of it's head.
  • NONE
  • You must evolve any Eevee to capture this one.
  • Good against fire, ground, and rock types, but weak against electric, grass, and dragon pokémon.

    •#135 Jolteon

  • Electric
  • Eevee grows spikes! It turns yellow and grows a white spiky mane.
  • NONE
  • You must evolve an Eevee to capture this one.
  • Good against water and flying types, but bad against ground, rock, grass, and dragon pokémon.

    •#136 Flareon

  • Fire
  • Eevee turns red, grows a mane around it's neck and a tuft of hair on it's head!
  • NONE
  • You must evolve an Eevee to capture this one!
  • Good against plant, ice, and bug types, but watch out for water, rock, and dragon pokémon!

    •#137 Porygon

  • Normal
  • Looks kind of like a pink bird with a cyan tail, beak, and feet.
  • NONE
  • Earn it at Celadon City!
  • Not good against rock types..

    •#138 Omanyte

  • Water and Rock
  • A fossil pokémon!
  • Evolves into Omaster at level 40.
  • Choose the Helix fossil at Mt. Moon, and revive it at Cinnabar island!
  • Good against rock, ice, flying, bug, but vulnerable to water, grass, and dragon types.

    •#139 Omaster

  • Water and rock
  • Omanyte grows tentacles and later learns Spike Cannon!
  • NONE
  • Evolve an Omanyte.
  • Good against rock, ice, flying, bug, but vulnerable to water, grass, and dragon types.

    •#140 Kabuto

  • Water and rock
  • Looks like smooth rock from above. But it's really a Kabuto!
  • Evolves into Kabutops at level 40
  • Choose the Dome Fossil at Mt. Moon and revive it in Cinnabar Island!
  • Good against rock, ice, flying, bug, but vulnerable to water, grass, and dragon types.

    •#141 Kabutops

  • Water and rock
  • It grows sharp claws and learns Hydro Pump attack after evolving.
  • NONE
  • You must evolve a Kabuto to capture this one!
  • Good against rock, ice, flying, bug, but vulnerable to water, grass, and dragon types.

    •#142 Aerodactyl

  • Rock and flying
  • Looks like a purple pterodactyl. It's also a dragon pokémon!
  • NONE
  • Search in Pewter city for an item called "Old Amber."
  • Good against dragon, rock, ice, flying, bug, but vulnerable to water, grass, and dragon types.

    •#143 Snorlax

  • Normal
  • A large, sleeping, pokémon. Snorlax is found in only two locations. Once you fail to capture both, you won't be able to capture a Snorlax ever! Snorlax is good for battling after it learns the attack "Hyper Beam."

  • Search in Lavender Town and Celadon city.
  • Bad against rock types.

    •#144 Articuno

  • Ice and flying
  • This beautiful bird pokémon is very rare; So rare that you can only capture it once in the game.
  • NONE
  • It's in Sea Foam Islands.
  • Bad against electricity, and fire types. It's good to use in a battle against a bug, fighting, ground, grass, or bird pokémon.

    •#145 Zapdos

  • Electric and flying
  • A spiky, yellow, bird pokémon.
  • NONE
  • It's in the power plant.
  • Good against flying, fighting, and bug types, but weak against rock and electric pokémon.

    •#146 Moltres

  • Fire and flying
  • A bird that's made out of fire. It's tough to capture if you don't have a water pokémon..
  • NONE
  • It's at Victory Road.
  • Good against ice, bug, grass, and fighting types. Weak against electric, water, and rock types.

    •#147 Dratini

  • Dragon
  • A blue pokémon with a white stomach, mouth, and ears.
  • Evolves into Dratini at level 30
  • It's found in Fuschia city.
  • Good against dragon, and has no weaknesses.

    •#148 Dragonair

  • Dragon
  • Dratini grows a horn, and wings for ears. It's name might mean "Dragon of the air."(Dragonof the air.)
  • Evolves at level 55.
  • Found.. no where! You must evolve a Dratini!
  • Good against dragon, and has no weaknesses.

    •#149 Dragonite

  • Dragon
  • An orange dragon with green wings.
  • NONE
  • You must train a Dragonair until it evolves.
  • Good against dragon, and has no weaknesses.

    •#150 Mewtwo

  • Psychic
  • Mewtwo was created in a lab by scientists who want to create the ultimate fighting pokémon. They did it, but did too good a job. Mewtwo is now level 70, and probably won't let any trainer capture it..
  • NONE
  • In the Unknown Dungeon. You can capture it with an Ultra Ball, but you can skip battling it and throw a master ball.
  • Good against fighting and poison types, but is vulnerable to other psychic pokémon.
